Same here! Although we recently added the Thirsties stay dry duo inserts to our diaper bag.

Altogether, i keep the following in the bag: 1 or 2 flip covers, 3-4 stay dry duo inserts, 2 flats. It is definately overkill since we dont ever spend more than a few hours out n about, but everything is pretty light and i would rather have too much than not enough lol.

We like to bring our FluffEhs with us in the bag because they're our cutest :P but also are very compact and I can easily fit 5/6 dipes with wipes, a small wet bag, all my accessories and a spare outfit.

Re: best CD for the diaper bag

I should add that I keep the diaper bag packed at all times w/flips and flats, since they are not my favorite but if I am running out of the house they work.

Now if I know we are going to be gone all day in advance then I will take out the flip/flats and replace with BGE or Freetimes.

Re: best CD for the diaper bag

I use flats and I think it packs very trim in my diaper bag.

My dry bag with 2 prefolded flats, extra cover, wipes in a ziplock, receiving blanket- I use that as a changing mat.

Here's my diaper bag. The dry bag is the black zippered bag. I have a change of clothes, swaddle blanket and burp cloth inside. In the smaller pocket I keep my keys, phone and wallet. I use a messenger bag as my diaper bag. I'm sure I will have to reevaluate my bag once my baby needs more things on outings, like snacks or toys.

AIOs unless I'd coordinated a dress with a gDiaper. Then gCloth and a couple extra pouches and another gPant that coordinated just in case (never needed it!). But mostly front-closure AIOs, usually Tots Bots EasyFits or Thirsties Duo AIO.

Re: best CD for the diaper bag

I have not dared to put in cloth in the diaper bag and have only included disposables, given he is just one month old, but i think i will include simplex OS

Lately i've been using prefolds on top of pockets, i have 2 in dipes atm so works for both and doesn't hog too much space. Also have a flip cover as backup and clothes for my youngest.
