I discovered DIaperswappers while nursing DS too!

Pre-smartphone, while nursing DD, I would watch TV or read. She was a SUPER slow eater and liked to only nap on mommy, so I spent a lot of time watching on-demand TV!

Unfortunately, I can't type and nurse. I just can't. Typically, I have to use both hands.

So, I do talk to and sing to baby a lot. But, I don't do that the whole time every time. I often read to my olders (and the baby). I do school with my olders. Or, if my older kids are asleep or upstairs, I'll watch TV. I can often use one arm to support the baby and hold my iphone in my hand behind his back, which is not actually a phone but just a game player and note taker . I play solitaire on that a LOT. I also make my grocery lists and to do lists on there. Every now and again, I can get myself in a position to actually eat, but it doesn't work very well and I almost always drop something on the baby. I've taken to covering him with a towel or burp cloth.

I do lots of things, with each kid I have gotten better and doing things while nursing. I do try to take advantage of being able to just sit and snuggle and read a book or something and enjoy the snuggle time.

I always have my tablet handy: read, play games, play on the internet.

Watch TV

When I am home alone with the older two I read to them, my legs become roads for thier cars, supervise homework.

If necessary I can walk around. I have been shopping, zoo, whatever is going on.

Watch tv, surf the net, cook, clean, read....pretty much anything!

I used to knit while feeding.

Knitting and nursing is my goal! I bought so much yarn while pregnant, I've got to get to it soon!

Usually yell at the other kids to stop doing this that or the other. I nurse and pump. I can be mobile with a baby latched on but not when I'm on the milking machine and the kids know this. So if I'm pumping the kids get a little more brave. If I'm nursing I delegate chores.

Just about everything. Showered, used the bathroom, swim, walk, cook, read, watch tv, knit, clean, shop. I haven't tried shaving my legs yet though. Of course biking and nursing is out of the question. But just about everything I do every day I have also done while nursing.

That is REALLY unfortunate, LOL!
