The smells aren't bad or constant. I also just changed back to an every other day wash. For a little while I went to every three days, but that really wasn't working out.

I think you're definitely using enough detergent. I'd try something new. Sometimes you just need to switch it up.

I found that powdered tide worked great but the liquid didn't at all and everything came out with that horrible 'tide' smell, which in my mind equals detergent left behind. But with powdered tide there was no smell and everything was clean.

I haven't bought any yet but Alice.com has it for $9.99 for an 80 load box. They make you pay shipping though if its under $50. I am going to look for a free shipping code or maybe buy my soaps and paper products for the month, if I decide to go that direction.

The same website has Tide at $15.96 for a 64 load liquid. $10.59 for a 40 load powder box.

Tide quit working for me too. Or rather, to make it work, I had to use tons and rinse like crazy. I've been using target brand biodegradable clean pristine for a few months now and it works great. Not very expensive and I can get it locally.

I must be the only person Country save didn't work for. I'm tempted to try it again with Calgon or washing soda added, but I won't try it again by itself. Tide has been working for us for over a year and a half.

Country Save was just awful for us too. It was like washing with nothing on clothes and diapers. But Tide works incredibly well for me.
