Re: Where can i find affordable, but good quality, glasses?

If I go to Walmart, should I still get the first pair at the Dr? Cause we can actually try them on at Walmart right?

Yes..you can try on. You don't need to buy from the dr before Walmart. They do all the measurements and you can pick out your glasses.

I USE ZENNIOPTICAL AS WELL. THE MOST EXPENSIVE PAIR OF GLASS I HAVE PURCHASED HAS BEEN $50 AND THAT WAS WITH THE TRANSITIONS LENSES.

You cannot just buy new glasses because you are required to go to the eye doctor first. The doctor will test your eyes and give you prescription about the kind of glasses that you will need. But once you have done that, you can buy your glasses anywhere you want.

I also suggest buying a pair from a local place before buying online. You should know what fits and feels right. You can also use your locally ought glasses to measure and buy glasses online. Not all glasses have the same size in the bridge and this is important a wider bridge will sit lower while a small will sit higher.
I use Zenni optical and have been very happy with my glasses. And because I spend so little I can can order more than one pair duringthe year!

I can't agree with this enough. I have LOVED my glasses from them, they are as good as from anywhere. I spent $24 for two pairs, two years ago and they are still going strong. I got my exam at walmart and had them measure and write down my pupil distance (they do that when they fit you for them) and then ordered online. When they came I just walked into walmart and asked them to adjust them. I have also had costco and Sams club adjust them because it's part of their member services.

I purchased my glasses from Costco. They were $100, arrived quickly, and I get them adjusted whenever I'm there. And, after almost a year, my toddler snapped off one of the arms, but I was able to get a replacement pair free, same day. (I believe it was still under the manufacturer warranty). Great customer service.
