ThredUP much cheaper shipping

Big changes in their system- now $2.99 for first item and 99 cents each additional, but free ship isn't till $50. They now have 30 day returns as well.

I just saw that myself! I was not a fan of them with their prior set up - boxes shipped between members, but I am really liking this new set up. And they are now doing a beta for women's clothes.

Thanks for the heads up! I had a $10 code they emailed me so I ended up getting 2 Easter dresses (+1 for DD's American Girl doll) for $7.98 shipped!

Oh and I went thru swagbucks to get 131sb which I got immediately!

I like that. It's a great set up. I'll have to check there for DD2's spring clothes.

The only problem is their prices are insane. So expensive. I used their system when it was the box and then when they switched over I had a bunch of 50% off codes which made things reasonable.

I agree, some of those prices are high. I thought the dresses I bought were a good deal since they were nwt plus I had the code but overall I can get better deals instore and at OUAC. I was browsing yesterday and spotted a few things I have that I got on sale at Gymbo & ON for the fraction of what they are asking.

On a positive note, I'm glad that they decreased the shipping cost and that they are starting a women's dept.

Oh I completely agree I have some really nice stuff I would like to get rid of without listing on ebay. I am looking forward to when that part is launched.

I have mostly been happy with what I have gotten from them, and I feel like their prices are all over the place. Some are more than what I would pay, and others seem about right. Wish I had a 50% off code though!

Re: ThredUP much cheaper shipping

I've never bought with them before but I just sold to them and was so disappointed with what they paid me for what I sent. They also didn't take a few things that I know were in EXCELLENT shape (no wash wear, no stains, tears, etc). Then to see what they are selling the items for annoys me. I understand they need to make a profit but I sent them great stuff and made next to nothing. I don't think I will be using them again unless it is an absolute last resort. Also, like others have mentioned I feel like their prices are high and I know I could get the same items in store for much less than what they are asking.

I have sold before with them too, and just sent stuff that wasn't worth reselling to me. I was happy with what I got. If I had sent Boden or Hannas or Tea though I think I would have been disappointed.
