Re: What did you pay for placenta encapsulation?

$200. It was a sliding scale between 150 and 250. I've actually been thinking about getting certified to do it in a few months and start offering it where I live.

$125, it was $150 but because I was "referred" by my doula (I knew my encapsulation specialist and my doula, they are great friends of mine) I got a discount

do you think it'd be weird to ask my doula if she'd be willing to keep it in her fridge for a few hours? She'll leave soon after the birth and she lives local where we're giving birth. I hate to ask, but I just don't see any other way to do it. She's not the one who's going to do the encapsulation.
No, I don't think it would be weird given the circumstance. We lived 30 mins away from the hospital and I had hubby take mine home (DD was born after 3am) we didn't have a cooler, just the bucket they put it in and then it was put in a bag full of ice. He took it home around 6/7am and when I took it out to start prep most of the ice was still ice

thanks.. I felt weird asking, but I only know one other person in that city and I think they would freak if I asked. Atleast the doula thinks encapsulation is a normal and good thing

I was wrong, it was $250 (but everything is more $$ here).

As a doula, I would definitely do it without a second thought

Re: What did you pay for placenta encapsulation?

I have only found 2 people around here that do it. One is $225 and the other is $250.
