I think perhaps it is not enough of an all-in-one for all-in-one users, and is too much money for the smart/frugal covers and flat users. That is just my opinion Now, that being said, I am still trying one, and maybe I will end up liking them-Kinda hope not though since I have 15 old style BGE I don't want to judge too much though until I try it. I do know though, I wish the fabric covered the entire leg. bG/CB has rarely let me down on products though, so here is to hoping!!

Yeah.....I just think if there's going to be that much bunching and exposed PUL, I'll put a prefold in a Flip and save myself some money. (for my 3rd baby that isn't conceived and may never be conceived ) Although I remember when Flips and Econobums came out, no one liked the idea of those and Flips have caught on so who knows. If they could have done a design simillar to this without exposed PUL or bunching then I think I would have liked it. Plus BGE's are $30 here so definitely not worth it.

I wonder if they could have done it with sandwiched PUL instead. Or even mesh since its a one time use thing it wouldn't matter if it got wet or whatever.

Re: So who actually likes the new elemental?

Someone mentioned something about the yardage being the same--I don't know if the yardage is the same, but I do know that the material is a brand new material, designed just for the new BGE. So that, with the fact that they are now entirely made in the USA would most likely account for the price.

Mom's Milk Boutique posted this message from Jenn @ Cottonbabies:
"Production of these diapers is now being done by Americans, exclusively in the United States, with materials primarily sourced in the United States. As for the inner, we actually carefully designed a brand new inner for this product. It isn't the same old diaper, warmed over, and made less expensively. This is a fully-functional AIO, with the additional option of easily adding extra absorbency underneath the diaper inner. I hope this helps to resolve some of your questions."

How is EVERYONE missing the fact that the excuse that they are "now made in America" is BS as they ALREADY WERE MADE IN AMERICA?!?!

Re: So who actually likes the new elemental?

some of the old ones were made in Egypt, some were not. Now they are all made in the US.

that said I really don't like the design, I hate flips with a passion and these are way too much like Flips. I need another diaper like I need a hole in the head though, so I should be fine.

Re: So who actually likes the new elemental?

Wow has anyone looked at the reviews for these on the CB website? Harsh! Are they all DS mama's leaving the reviews I wonder? Maybe if enough people leave honest reviews about this diaper CB will reconsider the design of the new Elemental.
