Are there enough of us here that we could start up a thread?

If not, I need to find a good unschooling support group or forum. I just need to be around others who feel the same way I do. Dh isn't completely on board with it, but he sees the sense of it with our eldest DD. I think it is just so far out of the realm of what he has been exposed to, that he is having a hard time comprehending how it might actually work.

My curiosity is piqued! Can you fill me in on what unschooling is all about? I have a 2-yr-old and a 10-month-old, so we still have time to make decisions about their education. Thanks, mama!

There's a Yahoo! group called Always Learning and also a Facebook group called "Radical Unschooling" that you can check out.

IDK if we are unschoolers right now... since technically we are starting some of the K activities and reading for the curriculum we're using next year. It's a Charlotte Mason curriculum. Since we're not being really scheduled about anything right now it feels like unschooling.

We are unschoolers.

I've found some good groups on facebook... one for unschoolers in our local metro area and one for Catholic unschoolers. But I'd chat here too.

Thanks, I will check them out =) I have tried several times not to be a radical unschooler, but I pretty much failed at it.

I'm about ready to sell all of the curriculum I've purchased and be done with it.

I have been reading a lot more of the Sandra Dodd Unschooling articles and watched an interview with her. I am fascinated, even if I don't 100% agree all of the time.
