Back up disposables, what brand?

I'm cloth diapering during the day, but it just hasn't worked for us at night...so I use disposables...but now that I have my baby in cotton all day, I'm having a hard time putting her on a sposie that smells like chemicals...are some brands better than others? I've been using huggies pure an natural lately and really like them, but they're too much money. Snug and dry versus luvs? And oh yeah, my baby has sensitive skin (pampers are a no no)

Re: Back up disposables, what brand?

For greener diapers I like Earths Best but hoenstly mien doesn't do super well in any of the "greener" varieties..
We use pampers baby dry at night I can NOT do the other pampers with the dry Max but we do fine with the baby dry (not sure if the dry max is the issue) I find that as long as I remove the diapers from the outter package and kinda let them "air out" the perfumy smell isn't a big deal..
When I need to switch to sposies more full time like when we are on vaccation I actually really like the Walgreens brand sposie both for fit and the fact they are not perfumy and no rash issues from them.

Re: Back up disposables, what brand?

We've only tried 7th generation and earths best. But we love the earths best! Very absorbent, no chems and we buy them online for a good deal. I had problems with cloth at night too for a while but now we're back to cloth at night with an extra soaker in them. Maybe it'll be a phase for you too! I still need paper diapers for emergencies though and when traveling.

Re: Back up disposables, what brand?

I recently had to use disposables and bought 7th generation, after only 4 hours or so (I normally change him more but we were out all day at different doctors appointments) they seemed like they were about to burst. Leaking is never an issue for me with cloth, even overnight. So I definitely wouldn't trust the 7th generation overnight, I would try Earth's Best though. I've heard good things about them, and they are a lot more expensive than 7th generation so that could be for a reason, right?

I like 7th Generation. They make a night diaper, but the regular works overnight for my daughter(we use them at Grandmas or road trips)

I love the Huggies Pure & Natural. They are the softest disposable I've ever felt. We use them on trips.

I used luvs on my first son. But they do smell. I really liked them at the time though!

Re: Back up disposables, what brand?

I switched to Luvs (was using only sposies) with my DS when he was about 18 months from Pampers and we use them now for overnights and on days when I just don't want to CD They smell like baby powder, which is pretty gross, but I have NEVER had a leak. It doesn't hurt that they are super affordable too. I have actually had many less leaks with Luvs than with CDs
