Re: Opinions please - doll for a boy
I would bring him to the store, give him a few different options, and just let him choose.

Re: Opinions please - doll for a boy
Since you are getting it for your son to play with it seems only reasonable to let him pick out what he wants.

Re: Opinions please - doll for a boy
this made me laugh so much. I loved it when my son played with babies, it was so sweet! we just have my water.baby from when I was little but he was super cute with it. he's over it a little now that he's almost 3 and has a baby sister.

Re: Opinions please - doll for a boy
My boys had quite a few dolls including CPK babies that cried (those were obnoxious) CPK boys, tiny CPK babies and a Waldorf heavy baby each that looks like them. At this point the only dolls they still have are the Waldorf babies and Kearnan still has "baby" his tiny CPK preemie (he has had him since he was 1). The love their Waldorf babies, dress them up in baby clothes (they can wear nb clothes and diapers) and still play with them a good bit. I don't know if the fact that "Windy" and "Gim" were made to look like them helps or if it was just the fact that they are soft and cuddly that made them more appealing than the CPK's and the Berenguer baby that eventually got dumped.

Re: Opinions please - doll for a boy
I don't think it matters what it looks like. I'd probably let him pick it out.

Re: Opinions please - doll for a boy
Oh good question... we're looking at baby dolls for my 22m kiddo. I was also wondering if we should do blonde/blue to match her or not. I'll read through this thread tonight when I get a chance. We're looking at them online, so I don't know how much of a choice I could give her or that if I let her pick off a screen she would really understand. But we'll see.
