I don't like all of the exposed PUL, it can't be comfortable to have that sticky sweatyness against her.
Not worth it until the poop is more solid because the cover almost always gets poopy with ebf. Changing the cover everytime you might as well buy AIO or pockets.

Re: Best Bottoms

Love them. The only complaint I have is having to buy different sized inserts, but that's what gives you the great fit. The BF poo issue just depends on your baby. I use BB's with both babies and with DS the poo always got on the cover, with DD is rarely does.

Good - adjustable inserts give a good fit. The covers hold pretty well, so we rarely get leaks. Cute cover designs and colors!

Bad - I've found that the MF inserts hold stink like no other. The hemp inserts bunch badly once they're wet. I also had 1 cover delaminate really quickly. I end up changing the cover at nearly every change. We tend to get some wicking right around the legs, so the fabric there gets slightly damp.

I'm glad I have them in our rotation, but also glad we don't have a whole stash of them. At this moment, they are the last dipes I grab, but at other ages (and esp when DD was still in dipes), they've been the first.

Re: Best Bottoms

I would say neutral. I have one shell and three stay-dry inserts that I won but I have not purchased any more (or sold the ones I have, for that matter). Then my DS seems a little rashy and I want the combination of stay-dry and PUL I often use these.

Likes:
-insert feels soft, cozy and pretty dry (their lining has stayed softer than Grovia fleece)
-works over flats as well
-four-step rise for more custom fit
-double gussets
-PUL feels durable
-enough space under the insert for a folded up Grovia doubler
-nice styling
-cover can be re-used many many many times without any odor

Dislikes:
-[TMI]poop doesn't stick to the inserts, which is great for staining but tough for clean up![/TMI]
-PUL feels stiff, not much stretch
-waist will be outgrown long before other diapers and the extenders don't look great (and aren't available for every color)
-stay dry inserts aren't super absorbent

Re: Best Bottoms

I have a full stash.

Pro:
Double gusset
Easy to double or triple up for a heavy wetter
Cuter covers than your standard pockets (I'm thinking bg's)
Easy to stuff (but I'm not a fan of pockets)
Quick resell. The used market isn't flooded with them.

Con
Having to buy multiple sized inserts. While my baby was technically a medium, I opted for larges.
