Re: pumping in my office, what sign should I put on my door?

I work in the business office at a high school (share an office). There are 7 expectant mamas right now and a couple with LO's at home, so they just established a pumping room. I am still wondering if we need a sign for the door? "In use"? I think a simple Do Not Disturb would work in your case!

My sign says "Privacy Please". I work at an obgyn & everyone knows what I'm doing. There are no doors that lock, I just use one of the physician's office.. I'm going to put a door stopper in my pumping bag now!

I pumped in a break room at the lunch table with a nursing cover. not a single coworker batted an eye and usually people sat next to me and ate their lunches. I am a nurse and everyone was more or less respectful. there is a pumping room but it is off the unit and shared with other floors. I would just say privacy please, knock before entering or something similar.

Can you ask to change or add a lock? If not on handle, maybe an interior lock for while youa re pumping for security? I would be stressed someone woudl walk in and have less pumping output.

My office door has a lock and windows but I'm higher up so nobody can see in unless it's dark outside. I made a sign that has DD on it with mouth wide open liek she's talking or yelling and it says, taking a break- do not disturb for 15 minutes. I emailed everyone when I returne dto work that I'd be pumping and woudl have my sign up so they evenually all knew what the sign meant and woudl call or email if they needed me.

Mine says "Do not disturb. I will be out at ___ (and I have a plastic window I write on with dry erase marker) Thank you for your patience!"

Re: pumping in my office, what sign should I put on my door?

I googled for a picture of a cow with a milk pump attached, tubes & everything. I don't have a lock, but thankfully all of my coworkers are too terrified to accidently see something they don't wanna see that they don't dare disturb me when the door is closed. LOL

I always said I had a "meeting" or had a scheduled conference call.

Re: pumping in my office, what sign should I put on my door?

I made a sign that says "Office in use - Please do not disturb" and found a clip art of a guy milking a cow. It seemed to get the point across pretty well.
