Re: Clothes for baby at the hospital?

tees always seem to end up at baby's armpits

DH and I love using gowns for baby for in the hospital and the first couple months for nights - diaper changes are super easy! Not sure why the gowns seem to stay down better than tees? Maybe just because they're longer?

Ours was this weird split gown, it had a top and bottom that connected on the sides but not the middle. I think the idea was so you could wrangle off the bottom for diaper changes and not take the top off, but we can do that with footie sleepers too YK? Because of the split in gown the top would ride up and expose his little belly.

And it just wasn't cute either lol

Yeah, I don't like those gowns - like johnny shirts for babies
The gowns I mean are the full ones, pull over baby's head, kwim? FIL used to tease Levi (as a newborn) cuz we were always putting "dresses" on him for sleeping

I'm not sure what our birth center's policy is, but I plan on bringing clothes for baby. I don't see why it would matter, though.

Re: Clothes for baby at the hospital?

DD crashing but all of my kids wore clothes we brought to hospital. The only thing they provided was a hat and swaddle blanket anyway. We used our own cloth diapers and clothes from day one and mine never had baths til a few days to a week after they were born.

I hadn't even thought of bringing clothes, other than a take-home outfit, which I've yet to find.

Re: Clothes for baby at the hospital?

I guess I haven't thought about this. With DD, she wore a hospital long-sleeve side snap t, a diaper and was swaddled 99% of the time she was there (and most of her first few weeks). I am delivering at a different hospital this time around, but I am assuming they have something similar.
I am bringing a few outfits, including "lil bro" and "lil sis" onsies I made so he/she can wear it when L comes in her "big sis" shirt.
