How to wash used prefolds

I bought some used prefolds from someone on the boards and they arrived today. They don't have any stains at all and look brand new. How should I clean them before use?

Just wash once with small amount of detergent in a hot cycle (just because you don't know how they were stored/how long). Then do another cold rinse and tumble dry on medium/high to fluff them up

Personally I would use oxygen bleach on hot and dry on hot to kill anything.

I'd wash on hot with detergent and add bleach, two rinses and your good to go.

I washed them on hot with detergent with an extra rinse when they first arrived. How much bleach should I use? I don't have oxygen bleach, just regular. I do have a sanitary cycle on my machine. Should I do that as well, or would that be overkill?

I washed mine with soap on a hot cycle and sanitize with 1/4 cup bleach ( for 24 prefolds).
Edit, I needed to rinse again after that.

Thanks! I washed on hot once. Now I am washing on warm with bleach and will do one or two extra rinses before drying.

Now I'm having a hard time getting the bleach smell out of them. They should definitely be clean by the time I rinse them 15 times!

Use a little detergent in the wash if you need to get the smell out.
