Re: Locking up food!
I've found success by leaving it at the store.
...all those foods I really shouldn't have

Re: Locking up food!
I have a friend who has to lock up pretty much all the food (multiple children with special needs/special diets, and it is just easier on the entire family if only designated people have access to the food). Her husband built a cupboard with a lockable door, and they have a walk-in pantry, also with a lockable door. They have a padlock on both the chest freezer and refrigerator. It is really a pain the rump, to be honest, and she would like to not have it all locked up.

Re: Locking up food!
We have a standard pantry cabinet and we locked the bottom half kind of like this....http://www.ekitchenislands.com/islan...hiteandoak.cfm and we just used a hatch lock with a key from walmart like this.....http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...0125xMPTLSx025. I just keep the key on a chain and it is easy to unlock. With the way the lock is made you really can't pull the cabinet open even a little. If you needed to lock up all your food you could do one on top too. And if you need to these work well on your fridge as well. We had to lock our fridge when our ds was little and he would sleep walk and eat things. When we found him trying to crunch raw egg shells ASLEEP NO LESS
we locked it up.
