Hi all! Home from my training and TIRED! On the up side, supper is spaghetti and meatballs and all I need to do is reheat the sauce and boil pasta. I think I can handle that!

Training was interesting, but I did not get as many tips as I had hoped I might. Ah well. At least it was a good networking experience.

Lots of kids walk to school, or their parents drop them off. I had 12 kids out of 20 yesterday, with no busses running. One of the biggest classes in the school, of course!

That is exactly how we do reading here. Balanced literacy. I have 5 groups of students in my class, ranging from reading level 2 (which is beginning of Grade 1, really) and level 20 (end of Grade 3). Everyone is working on their own thing.

We are very strongly cautioned against taking recess away from the whole class for the infractions of a few. I have had them wait 1-2 minutes before for wasting my time/making me wait, but never a whole recess.

The first time in a few weeks. After another mom was told most likely wernt doing recess anymore this year. I bet the superintendent talked to them

At the dentist with Jerry. I offered to come with so he doesn't have to drive home. He has a real phobia of having dental work. Poor Guy.

I HATE indoor recess days, and even with those they are up and moving around.
