Newborn bum genius with mini-Flip insert
a few weeks ago, I mentioned in another post I had altered a newborn BG AIO to make it more absorbent. I carefully cut a slit in the upper stay dry layer, sewed a piece of a flip organic insert onto it, and then tucked it into the slot I made. The part that touches the baby is the stay dry, but right underneath is a maxi pad sized organic insert. You can pull it out to wash, of course. A couple of people asked for pics, and it is back from the tester, so here you go....one pic is the diaper next to a regular Newborn BG AIO, so you can see it make is just a little more bulky.
The mama who used it said it worked well-- she saved it for night. The baby peed out of the regular ones a lot more quickly. She also had a couple of swaddlebees simplex, and she liked it better than that one for nights.
