Fridge Door Open All Night - Do I have to Dump the Milk?

I went to open the fridge this morning and discovered it was slightly ajar all night. I keep the baby's milk in the very back of the top shelf, the bottles all felt room temp when I touched them. Husband got home at about midnight and I discoverd the situation at 6am. I'm thinking I have to dump all the milk, so sad

Oh no, I am sorry that happened. I would give them a sniff and if they smell okay I'd give the milk maybe immediately freeze anything that won't be given in the next 4-6 hours. Breastmilk spoils but its much more resilient than other milk. I was told you can leave breastmilk out at room temp for 10 hours when its freshly pumped then refrigerate it up to 6 days and then freeze it for 6 months. You'll know when the milk is spoiled.

I once had DH take a bottle from the fridge and leave it out for 6 hours and then put it back. I gave it a sniff the next day and it was spoiled.

Someone else might say to pitch it but if it smells and tastes fine I wouldn't.

Ugg My middle kiddo did that this summer. I had to throw away a ton.

As hard as it is to dump I would not use the milk. There is no way I would risk it on a little baby.

I found a bottle in the back of the fridge (5oz) that I had no idea how long it had been there--it smelled okay but I knew it had been at least 5 days. I didn't dare risk it.

thanks everyone. I decided to feed it to her and she didn't show any signs of trouble. It didn't smell at all and I figured since it was in the back of the fridge it would have been cold for a while even after the door was left open. I appreciate the input.
