Re: Basically it's Friday!

F A G E is on sale at a number of places for $1 right now. The kind with the fruit or whatever on the little cup on the side. That's the only one I've tried thus far, but I think the Chobani ones are on sale for a $1 at the fancy Plum Market. I only recently saw the tubes in stores here, I didn't look at the price tho. Good to know about Costco tho, I will check that out my next trip.

I am trying to decide if I can get the bare minimum groceries I need at TJ's because I need to go to the pharmacy next door for Ian's asthma meds anyway. I just am in no mood to go to a store farther away that is not stocked. They all leisurely restock on Fridays, and whatever store I go to will be out of something I need.

Re: Basically it's Friday!

When we lived in Amsterdam, every grocer, no matter how small, had a large walk-in cooler with nothing but yogurt. Every texture/flavor/dairy source you could imagine. They were a little insane about yogurt there. Anyway, I fell in love with a variety like the greek but with sugar and fruit in it. When I had the full-fat F A G E at the hossy, it was the closest to the Dutch yogurt I had ever had.

So I went to Trader Joes, and they had F A G E and their own brand of greek yogurt. Their brand was 99c for the little ones, so I bought four different flavors and one large tub of the 2% F A G E. I had the vanilla bean 0% TJ one, and it was good but not as good as the full-fat F A G E. I suspect it has more to do with the fat content than the quality of the yogurt, tho.

I also bought some uncured bacon. IDK if I have ever had that before, and I just now noticed the slices are like 1/8" thick. That may not work for the bacon-wrapped peppers I was going to try. Will make a tasty breakfast though.

I have seen those before in the US, Janine. In their room? Would it fit?

It should fit. Heiner's going to move the radiator to under in front of the balcony door and when all the clothes are out of the room it should fit great.
