Stretch marks question

If I escaped stretch marks for the first pregnancy, do I have to worry too much for the second?
I did get teensy pimples in a couple of places on my belly. My dh said he thought it was because I was putting lavendar oil on my belly but when I stopped, they didn't go away. I'll take teensy pimples over stretch marks though.
We will probably ttc this winter again! Can't wait!!!

Re: Stretch marks question

I have no stretch marks after 2, but my mom has none after 3 and my grandma has none after 2. I think it is genetics, but I could be wrong. I know my friend got stretch marks with her 2nd, but not her 1st. I am no help

Re: Stretch marks question

Not sure about that re: genetics, but from my experience I had none from my first, I was pretty trim and fit (worked until the day I had her as a waitress). But my second child I was not working like previous, and my baby was bigger so I got stretch marks. The same with #3 as well, but I was on bed rest too which didn't help my ballooning up much. As far as the pimples on your belly, probably just hormones. I get an awful itchy rash on my chest when I'm pregnant, that goes away as soon as I deliver, and I know it's just hormones giving me grief.

Re: Stretch marks question

My SIL got NONE with her first and then with her second her whole belly was covered in them by the time she delivered. Sorry probably not what you wanted to hear. BTW, she is very active as well. She surfs, runs, bikes...etc.

Oh no! I got none with Clark. We won't TTC #2 for a couple years, but I've already had this question pop up in the back of my mind... I was hoping I was just one of the lucky ones.

Re: Stretch marks question

I got non e with my first, only on my breasts with my second, and across my tummy with this one. I think every pregnancy is different so you never know.

Re: Stretch marks question

It is completely genetics. But I think that after 2 you'll be ok, but maybe after 4 you might not be so lucky!
My mom had 4 and only got stretch marks with #4. I'm on #2 and nothing yet.
