We are planning on having a fourth, and we like to travel. Are there motels/hotels that will allow that many children without sneaking them in into one room?

Short answer yes.

Long answer but you may have to pay more, book sooner or search harder to find them.

Re: Hotels with four kids?

Yes we have 4 & we always stay in 1 room. Generally, $$ allowing, we get a king suite with a pullout sofa. Me, hubby, and baby take the bed and the 12,7,& 8 yo take the sleeper sofa. However we have stayed in regular hotel rooms, I just always ask and say they are young and I have never been turned down. But in reg rooms with 2 queens it feels cramped even with a cot or air mattress .

Just stay in suites or rent condos.

Re: Hotels with four kids?

We had this dilemma looking online for hotels last vacation with our 5 kids. It turns out you can't book it online you have to call the hotel direct and tell them how many you have and they will book the room. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn on the way and back (we had a house booked for the actual vacation place) but they all were really nice and worked with us and were very reasonably priced. We got a a room with 2 double beds plus a pull out sofa and a portable crib for around $100/night We hated feeling like we had to lie everywhere we went cause I just didn't see the option of anything else online but as it turns out they are there

That's how it is here in OR & CA. We like to travel a lot, and with 4 kids I found that big tourist areas had a few rooms if you chose to book early. Usually they would have a door separating, but in the same room, if that makes sense, which was nice. I think that our two newest additions to be will make it a bit more challenging. Rooms for 8 are not at all common. 6 is about as big as I've seen, although there are some for 8 at Disney area. We are going to go houses now I guess, or RV with my parents, which I'm not too sure about...

Re: Hotels with four kids?

We have, but it has to be a suite in most cases. The suites usually have 2 beds in a bedroom and a pull out sofa in the main room. It's still cheaper than 2 seperate rooms. Extended stay hotels are better for this in my experience.
