I got the Smitten Kitchen Cookbook. So many good recipes!
And shopping for fluff was fun, though the store owner got annoyed because I was giving my opinion about diapers before she was able to give her "diaper talk". Dude. They asked me to meet them at the shop because they wanted to know what works for me AND I am lending them a bunch of my stash. Maybe she was also ticked that they were going to use some of my diapers instead of buying from her? Dunno.

Re: Basically it is the weekend...
I'm sure that was part of it Mel. And you stole her thunder, LOL.
When I dug out all the photo albums, I found a binder full of indian recipe printouts. I don't remember doing it, or receiving it. It is likely 15yo, because it was mixed in with the wedding planning stuff (yeah, IDK why I kept all that, LOL) I now want to cook a bunch of stinky stuff the kids won't eat and that will likely turn my insides out. ![]() Sigh. I suppose I should feed the kids or something.

So then we got the car washed, got gas, got rearended (no damage for us, pretty bad bumper crash for us) had a nice lunch, found two new bras for me, wandered around Target, took a walk, now waiting for the movie to start.

Re: Basically it is the weekend...
That is awesome Jen. When my parents were here, they did the same thing. We were so thrilled, usually between tickets and babysitter it costs us $80 or more to go to the movies. Only we went to Lowes and bought baseboards instead of Target, because we could do it without kids in the car.

to my wife Ru,
WOH teacher and mom to our 1st grader
E (12/06) and missing little Noelle (stillborn 12/08.)

Then they decide to pile on, and instead of sneaking out at 9pm to eat dinner and finish up Downton Abbey I wind up pinned down and pass out. DH comes home at midnight, freaks out because every light in the house is on except our bedroom and all the rooms are empty
. So he woke me up trying to find us. Then Ian woke up at 3am because he wet the bed. :headbang: And after that is rectified he takes 90 to settle and go back to sleep. Then the girls wake up at 7am and have a screaming match in the bathroom about who gets to use the toilet first (never mind there are TWO toilets on the top floor). Then Ian gets up an hour later after snoring loudly all morning. Then DH comes in and wants to snuggle, and I hit him with a pillow and go back to sleep. Until 9am, when everyone is STARVING and apparently cannot fend for themselves.
Since then we have unearthed the photo albums, been to the library, had a playdate, I went to Costco, and DH and Rosie sold GS cookies in the freezing temps between the Trader Joes and the Starbucks for two hours. They are now all in the basement playing the Monopoly Wii game they got at the library and Bad Piggies on the Nook. I made a giant pot of pasta last night so I wouldn't have to cook tonight. Good call.
