Glad it helped.... Yes that's a great size because it gives you plenty of room to measure.... and make sure you measure in the middle so the sides don't distort your sts

Managed to finally get started and I have about half of the waistband done! . Already made a mistake so two of my ribs are three stitches instead of two but I can live with that. I don't expect my first pair to be perfect. It's a learning experience lol. We will see how it goes when I get to short rows....

So far I've managed to mess up each different stitch but I'm plugging along lol. These will be a learning experience and I'm determined to get a pair of functional shorties out of them! However imperfect they may be

I've knitted past my first set of short rows and I think I'm finally starting to understand them.

I'll have pics to post soon! . Only have to knit one more leg and the I-cord. They are full of mistakes but I consider that learning . They will still be cute for her first birthday next month.

Yay! Can't wait to see... and yes mistakes ARE learning... also when appraiser look at Persian rugs, they look for mistakes, very small flaws because those show it was hand made and there for worth more... I always try to remember that when I'm being critical of my work...

Then these are definitely handmade! And should be worth a fortune!! Lol

I like to leave them instead if frogging and redoing on the first pair so I can look back after I get better and see how far I've came.
