When did the stretchmarks come for you?

I got them during puberty on my thighs but haven't gotten a single one with any of my three pregnancies. My doctor also said there is a correlation between vaginal tears and stretch marks... It's all about how elastic your skin is... Makes sense I guess. I have only ever had small superficial tears during childbirth too.

I have stretch marks on my knees from growing. I've had two pregnancies and no stretch marks. My BFF had them at 8 months.

My anecdote cancels out your anecdote. I got horrible stretchmarks with my first pregnancy and didn't tear at all.

I got them the earliest with ds1, at around 7ish mos. All along my belly and thighs. With the others I only got a couple near my pubic bone when they dropped in the last couple weeks.

After birth. They are hard to see until your belly goes away sometimes.


I only got stretch marks after my first was born (I was 17 and 95 pounds). I only got them on my hips. Then I got 3 tiny ones on my belly after my 7th.

I do have some on my breasts now after nursing for 10 years.

I have some on my butt and thighs from life... but none from my pregnancies. I do nothing to prevent unless you count making sure I stay properly hydrated.

I am genetically predisposed to not get them, although my mother did get them on her boobs when they engorged. I didn't with my first, we'll see about with this one.

My first pg gave me some, they faded. My second pg didnt give me any, and this time, so far so good.

With my first I moisturized every single day from the day I found out I was pregnant. I ended up getting a lot the last month of my pregnancy on my stomach and some on my hips.
With my second, I didn't do anything to prevent more and only ended up with like one or two new ones.
I'm pregnant again but I'm only 7wks. So, not any yet.

With my first I didn't see a single one until I got home from the hospital, I was so pissed! With my subsequent pregnancies they darkened during pregnancy but I didn't really get any new ones.
