yep....i use the timeline cards. but my kids are little, so we aren't hard core about it. we sing the timeline cards, do the hand motions, and then my boys pick up a card they are interested in. then we read it, chat about it, etc. as they get older, i'll prob do more w/it (my oldest is 8). they like going through the cards.
as for corresponding w/the hx sentence, sometimes the week does and sometimes it doesn't :s just depends.

I think I'm just having a small pity party at the moment. Oh, and when parking this morning, I hit the prek teacher's car. I've never hit anything before (except deer and they jumped in front of me)! She took it really well-hope that doesn't end up costing too much. I think I might need to take up drinking!

and being an ex-teacher, i totally understand missing the classroom. but everytime i think i want to go back, i chat w/a teacher friend, and all the crap comes flooding back.....the IEPs, the other teachers, the HORRIBLE parents (or lack thereof), the meetings...meetings....meetings, and all the other garbage that goes w/it. so, to satisfy my "teacher" craving, I teach Sunday School at church and I'm a tutor at our CC community. it gives me my fix w/o having to deal w/all the garbage that goes w/it.

and yeah....i feel that way about drinking bout every friday

easy day.....wow....looking back at my posts i'm starting to think we are lazy we did our Bible stuff from Seeds, and we started a lapbook on Easter/Resurrection. I was trying to find something all the kids could do. DS1 did some phonics (and he didn't die much to his surprise LOL), and he did his math & handwriting. DS2 did handwriting and Reading Eggs. Course, DS3 did Reading Eggs right along w/DS2 so it was a BOGO LOL. DS3 also did Poisson Rouge (Red Fish Soup) which is a website I adore for my littles. but it's shutting down and i'm so sad about that

Is the lapbook part of the Bible curric or something you made up? I think that sounds fun.

I'm so glad that Phonics didn't kill your DS! I'm so terrible that when my kids say they are going to die doing something, I respond with, "Hmmm, that's a chance I'm willing to take!"

She insists that I put her to bed, which I don't mind doing, but tonight she acted like it was a huge chore to give me a hug (she hugged my arm) and then told me to get out of her room. I don't know what has gotten into her lately, but she has been a real pill.

I swear it's the weather. I can't wait for the snow to melt and temps get warmer. DD2 is between sports right now and she's got pent up energy to burn-so she uses that energy to pester anyone who is close to her!! Drives me nuts! Soccer starts in 2 weeks, we'll see how much difference that makes.

Four out of five of us spent the weekend sick. We all seem to be feeling better today but we're taking the day to recuperate. We were actually supposed to be off the next three days visiting family, but we don't want to spread our stomach bug.

AFU: I doubt we'll do much school work this week. DH is off all week so we'll probably just have lots of family fun time. I do need to get some reading lessons in but otherwise I'm hoping for a relaxed week!
