Re: When did your child(ren) stop
DD is 29months and still naps daily.
She has gone through spurts where she has tried to resist and my criteria for making her continue is that she's a bear by bedtime. If you are a mess at bedtime, you take a nap. but.. I did have to move her nap later because it was obvious that she wasn't ready for a nap at the 'usual time'. And that meant I had to be good about going and waking her up so that she didn't sleep too late to go to bed like normal. ETA: she goes to bed at 8-830 and sleeps until just after 7. Her nap is about 2 hours.

Both girls gave up naps shortly before 3. Ds just now is giving up naps at 3 1/2. I can't remember the details well for the girls. For ds he currently goes to bed an hour early (7:00). Her still gets up at 6:30. If he takes a nap he fights sleep until 10:00 and still is up at 6:30 so he gets more sleep with no nap. We veg on the couch and watch a movie or read books for an hour ish in the afternoon to relax a bit to make up for no naps which helps a ton.

Re: When did your child(ren) stop
Sometime between 2 and 3. His daycare teachers hated him (seriously...) b/c he refused to sleep during mandatory nap time.
His bedtime at that age was 8pm, and we didn't really have to adjust for anything b/c his naps grafually reduced in time until they stopped, so he did all the work.

I hate naps.
We try to discourage them around 12 months. By 15 months they dont nap daily but maybe one day a week. Makes for awesome nighttime sleeping and less waking to nurse (for us). My littles go to bed by 8:00 and sleep until 9-9:30 am. . Baby still wakes 1 time to nurse.

DS will be 3 this month and still naps daily for 2-3 hours. He sleeps 10-8 at night. A few months ago he was skipping nap time 2-3 days per week, but he's a much happier kid when he naps.

DS1 I cannot remember as he is almost 16. DS2 never napped. DS3 napped on me till he was 2 a couple times per day. DS4 sleeps on me 2 times per day. None of my kids ever napped off me.

Both kiddos dropped their naps by the time they turned 2. Wake up was (and is) anywhere between 6:30-7:30 and bedtime is 8:30.

All of ours were 5. DS is only 3 1/2 so he is still napping. Sleep is one of the most important good habits to instill. Once one gets sleep deprived it is a vicious cycle.
They have always gone to bed around 8:30 and slept until 8:30, during and after naps.
