My lips are going to fall right off my face!

Help! Being pregnant has done something insane to my lips!!! They are so dry I can't handle it anymore!!! Dry to the point peeling and then I pick at them and they bleed I am CONSTANTLY putting chapstick on (I usually use Bert's Bee's pomegranate), but it is not doing ANYTHING for me anymore. I could put it on like 8,000 times a day and they're still dry! I drink TONS of water too, ugh.

I don't use any products that are tested on animals...does anyone have any suggestions on what works best for them?! Has anyone else had this problem?!

Jesus I do NOT miss those days for sure! I'm sorry mama, that's one of the crappy symptoms I'd you ask me.

Whatever you do don't pick the , when your saliva evaporates it will just leave your lips dryer and even more chapped.

Try Vaseline, that's pretty intense stuff.

I definitely try not to pick them, but cave some times Ugh, and this winter weather DOES NOT help, ick. And, OF COURSE, I keep losing my darn chapsticks!!! I just had 2 brand new ones and 1 barely used one and I can't find them anywhere!!!! thank goodness I always leave one here at work.

Lanolin. The bf stuff in the purple tube. It is magical - i use it on chapped lips, cracked heels, diaper rash, and the nasties you get right under the nose when you have a cold and are blowing, blowing, blowing. I haven't bf anyone in a year and I just bought two tubes a few weeks ago :-).

Yep... Happens to me constantly. I'm very hydrated, but if I spend any time talking to people, I must lick my lips the whole time cause that evening they're dry, cracked and bleeding again.

As for products, no real suggestion as the tube I'm currently using is a homemade beeswax Chapstick that someone gave me a couple years ago.

But, my earth mama nipple butter that I bought for this baby says its good for cracked nipples and cracked lips.

A lot of chapsticks actually exacerbate the problem, unfortunately.

I would do coconut oil, then a barrier cream like aquaphor/lanolin/chapstick on top. Mine are nasty dry too... I've gone through a tube of chapstick in like a week....

Ugh, all I've wanted to wear on my lips this entire pregnancy is lip balm. Being here in the high altitude/dry climate doesn't help either!

I'm normally an Aquaphor at night kind of girl, with the Nivea balms during the day. I need to exfoliate my lips something bad right now.

Yup, here too. Winter and cold and wind isn't helping at all. I use lip stuff all day, and then put vaseline on my lips right before bed - that helps a TON.
