are pockets hotter than 'sposies?

So now that I know I can use cloth diaps at school for Celeste this summer, I am wondering if she will be hotter? She is really sensitive to heat
so I thought I would see what you guys think are hotter, sposies or double stuffed pockets?

Re: are pockets hotter than 'sposies?

I'd think sposies. My thought is that no matter what, pockets breathe somewhat. Granted, PUL doesn't breathe that much, but you still have some air moving within the dipe, I'd think. Sposies don't breathe at all. My idea of what a sposie would feel like is a plastic bag with cotton balls, grape jelly and powder all in it. Doesn't sound comfortable to me! DD always feels hot and sweaty and sticky in a sposie for only a short time but if she's in cloth (even HUGE night dipe with cover), whe's not sticky down there even if her whole body is.

I think sposies are def hotter... PUL can breath & some more than others depending on what kind it is.

That's funny! And and some squishy poop in it!

breathable means that it allows body heat to escape. And the PUL FBs are made from IS breathable (that way). Sposies are not.

Honestly, my son gets hotter in cloth. But when we used sposies, we used Pampers Swaddlers, which feel like cloth (at least to me). Not something like Luvs, which are very plastic-y feeling. But I just let Milo air out a lot and he does just fine. He's really sensitive too.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.

Eliana is pretty sensitive too.. I just started using some pockets on her and was a little worried about how hot they might be. I was using pfs to stuff them at first and found those to be a bit warm. I bought some mf towels at Walfart the other night and now she's super cool! It's 102 today and we were outside with her in a tank top onesie and a pocket w/mf towel and she felt great!
