Toys?

What do you have for toys? I think my kids ha way too many and are overwhelmed. They cant seem to use an imagination and are "bored" constantly but yet have a boatload of toys.

They have some hot wheels, wooden blocks, and art supplies, music stuff. That's just about it. I try and keep it minimal. If they can't clean up every toy in 10-15 minutes, they have too many.

Re: Toys?

Here are most of our toys:
On top- Metal Tonka Forklift thing, PlanToys pirate ship, puzzle, small dollhouse
Top row- Duplos, Legos, Puzzles/Games (these get rotated out), Magnatiles
Middle row- Far Left- things that go (cars, trains, etc), Far Right- Action Figures
Bottom Row- Train tracks/Folded up rug with roads on it, Play Food, Wooden Blocks, Animals (Schleich and Toob)

My kids have a bookshelf in their bedrooms and my boys each have a small area for their special things, stuffed animals are kept on their beds. My DD has a dollhouse, doll cradle and dress up clothes in her room.

Re: Toys?

Here is our toy storage for all of our toys:

The hanging organizer is for their stuffed animals, the baskets for their small toys, the bottom bin is for their duplo blocks, and the tote is for their larger toys like my son's dump trucks.

Is there anyway the magnets can come out? I'm afraid of them breaking off or something and one of my kids eating them.

Re: Toys?

I dont think I have ever seen a bad review for magna tiles. I know a lot of people buy a big set and end up getting more. But dang they are spendy! I have been watching for a great deal and just havent found one yet. The best deal ive seen online is a hundred piece set for about $100
