I'm just patiently waiting in this oh so comfy, tiny little exam room for my 36 week appt to start. My dr got called to the emergency room to check on someone and is running late. Don't these other women know they're supposed to wait for me to be done?! Jk! Jk! Jk!

I love that, even with births and whatnot, my OB doesn't make us wait very long - last week he ran back to the office to fit in a few patients between births! The other OBs... are not like that, lol.

Well, I know how much I appreciate my midwife being with me for the whole birth, so I don't mind when an appointment gets rescheduled.

Sounds like your doctor is a very important man in the hospital! Be proud! They don't just get any doctors, has to be your doctor

Drove an hour to my appt today.... went early to take DD to an indoor playplace in the morning and then go to my appt in the afternoon.

they called and cancelled. I tried to be really nice about it, but DH and I were both really frustrated with the situation. I know they can't help emergency surgery or whatever.. but it's a long drive, DD doesn't get a nap when we go to Boise and DH had taken off work. Luckily, he wasn't able to go first thing this morning and was going to meet us there, so I called him and he went back to work. but tomorrow, we get to put a 2yo who does not like travelling back in the car for another day without a nap.

a little frustrated.

but what can you do?

My doc called to cancel my appt one time when I pulled into the parking lot. Since I was already there she saw me real quick to make sure all was well before heading out to the hospital. Twice I've seen another doc cuz she went to deliver a baby.

I don't mean to rub it in, but my 36 week appt was today too. In and out in 10 minutes with the GBS test and everything. My old office was horrible about making me wait, this one is in and out and super. All is looking good too. Hope you got through the waiting and have a clean bill of pregnancy as well.

It's happened to me too... I was there and the girl before me got checked and was dilated 7!! The doc put her in his car and took her to the hospital himself... They were there 15 mins and she delivered!! Sounds like a dream of a delivery to me lol.

We had an apt when pregnant for dd it was a long drive dh took off work and they called to cancel. I was toward the end of pregnancy and I told them no another dr in your office is going to have to see me lol.

The worst is waiting a long time in the room with a 5, 3,and 1 yr old!
