need carseat tech opinions

DD is almost 4 (April 5) She is about 34 lbs and 39 inches tall. We have another baby due mid May. DD has been rearfacing in a Radian 80SL (LOVE this seat!). New baby will be in a infant Eddie Bauer Seat that we had for dd (does not expire until 2014). We have a 2008 Impala, and I can fit them side by side. Who should be in the middle? I can forward face dd on the outboard in the Radian, and put baby in the middle which is what I was planning on doing. Is this the best option for both children? or do I keep dd rearfacing and put baby on the outboard? I can't rf dd in the Radian on the outboard because the seat is too long (we have the angle adjuster).

I have a DS that will be 4 April 15th. He's the same weight, but 44+ inches. We have a 2000 Impala. If DD still fits RFing in the middle, I'd prob put baby outboard. My DS does ride FFing, though, so no flames for turning her either.

If they're both RF'ing, the difference between middle & outboard isn't big enough to really matter on who is where. If you were to FF dd, then she would be safest in the center if possible.

If they are both RF, it doesn't matter who is outboard.

If one is FF, then ideally she is in the center.

Re: need carseat tech opinions

Thanks everyone. I went to a carseat check today and had them help me as well. I decided to keep dd in the middle rearfacing, and put baby rearfacing (of course) on the outboard. They techs agreed that this was the best. We will try it out, but I think it will be fine
