Ergo??

I found an Ergo on my local Craigslist for $50. For you moms that have one, do you love it? I have a Moby that I really like but it can be difficult when we are out and about. I am really petit (5'0 100lbs) so all of the fabric gets tangled. I was wondering if an Ergo would be more convenient?

Re: Ergo??

How big is your little one? I find that the Ergo is too short for my/my son, but I'm 5'7", and he's in the 80th percentile for height (although, most of it is in his torso, just like me). The Ergo would have worked reasonably well for us up until he was about 10 months old, and at that point it wasn't tall enough on his back for me to feel secure wearing him on my back. We use a Boba, a Lillebaby, a couple of different mei tais, and I'm looking for a Kinderpack. But, my son is 22 months and 25 lbs.

Re: Ergo??

im 5 4 and 118 lbs. my son is 1 months and almost 20 lbs. I LOVE IT! i have the performance.i i had a maya sling but it got to uncomfy after my son hit about 15 lbs. taking it on and off is a snap and bringing it around with me is no big deal. it also adjusts to different sizes well. all the weight gets put in the hips and considering my back goes out quick in the maya the erog is like a night and day difference.

Hey mama we have the moby & love it. We also have the ergo performance & the ergo sport & love both!! I keep one in my house & one in the car. Dd is 21 lbs & 8 months & has lots of room & is in the 95% on height and weight at her 6 mo check up.

If you post the link here from Craigslist if they have pics up I can check it out for you. I have done some extensive research on sporting fake ones.

Wow! I didn't even consider that it could be fake. Who would do that? Anyway, here is the link for the ad http://charlotte.craigslist.org/bab/3675809609.html
Thank you ladies. Your comments have been really helpful. I think I will try one on at the local baby store before making a final decision.

Re: Ergo??

I am about you size--just a few pounds heavier and found the straps to be a bit to long for a comfortable backcarry--maybe see if you can try it out before you purchase.

I'm about your size and my shoulders are too narrow for it. It slides off at least one shoulder constantly
