Favorite Cleaner Recipes

Share your favorite recipes for natural cleaners!

I'm over being lazy and putting money into natural store bought cleaners when I can make my own!

Re: Favorite Cleaner Recipes

Dr. Bronners cleans everything. The tea tree oil and lavender kinds disinfect. For spray cleaner/disinfectant I put a couple good squirts in a spray bottle and fill the rest with water. This cleans pretty much everything. For other things like cleaning the tub or mopping the floor I squirt out of the bottle into the tub or the mop water. For the tub I have to add some baking soda. You can add other EOs but I don't. There are lots of other natural things that clean and disinfect but I'm lazy and use Dr. Bronners because it cleans the whole house and all the people in it, so I just buy one thing and I'm done.

vinegar and water. Cleans glass, counters, floors, sink toilet whatever! I do think it has the potential to ruin the finish of a bathtub though so I only used it on the old tub that the finish was already long gone on. Thanks for the tip on using the Dr. Bronners with baking soda for the tub!

Re: Favorite Cleaner Recipes

i love using dr bronners or dr woods diluted for cleaning, i also like this recipe and it leaves my glass cooktop streak free:
fill a spray bottle 1/2 way with vinegar and then add 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol and a drop of an essential oil (lemon or lavendar are my fav, or tea tree) and then fill the rest with water and you are good to go.

This is so similar looking to soft scrub:
3/4 cup baking soda (slightly heaped) 1/4 cup castile soap (I use Dr. Bronners Peppermint) 1 Tablespoon water

I have used it in the oven with a Copper scrub brush and it is amazing in the tub and sink! My all time favorite cleaner, by far!
