My Mood:
Would Daytime Flips work as a good doubler?

I am on a quest & determined to use cloth at night (we mostly use flats during the day) but we have absorbancy issues at night. I have been playing with fitteds & wool at night & it's going alright, but I am still wanting a bit more absorbancy. I heard the Flips are pretty absorbent, so I was wondering if they are trim enough to use as a doubler with flats or fitteds. I'm guessing the nightime Flips would just be too bulky, but I'd love to hear from actual experience.

For using as a doubler, I would recommend Thirsties hemp inserts! They're super soft and mega absorbent without adding much bulk. They're the same material as Thirsties hemp prefolds but shaped as an insert - no folding necessary. I attached a picture of the size 1 and size 2 to give you an idea of the size difference.

ETA: The size one on the bottom has snaps because it is the bottom layer of a Thirsties Duo Insert. The hemp inserts don't have snaps (like the top one).

You could probably get away with using one with a flat, but I'm not sure about the fitted. It's probably too bulky for that, especially if your fitted is super trim in the crotch area. The night-time insert is definitely too bulky to use as a doubler, we use one of those or a Thirsties hemp pf stuffed in a BG 4.0 at night (no doubler). GL!
