How big do you think your newbie will be?

So trying to plan a bit.... as I laugh since nothing seems to be that easy in my life since kiddos ha. How big were your babies?? Did they run similar in size??

My first and only biobaby was a girl and was 6.4... I was also 12 days past my due date but they think maybe she had been losing a little weight since my placenta was starting to detach a bit.... so this time around I am having a boy. I am already much bigger but it's a second baby... and I have gained about 6 pounds and I know will DD I struggled to gain any way until late 2nd trimester I believe.

Sooooooooooo did your babies weight vary drastically or were they similar (within a pound)??? Give me yo babies weights and gestational ages!!!

DS was 9.3 at 41 weeks, DD was 9.9 at 41+1. I'd like a 7 pounder but I'm guessing 10 lbs even this time.

Re: How big do you think your newbie will be?

DS was 7 lbs 13 oz and was "late" by 12 days (dating ultrasound turned out to be wrong and he was NOT late), DD came ON her due date and was 7lbs 13 oz (i know for sure my dates). SO, based on that, i'm expecting a 7 lbs 13 oz baby

But, DS was 1 inch longer than DD. So, if it is a boy i'll say the same weight, just longer.

It seems that almost all boys born to same mommas seem to weigh more than their sisters given their gestation ages.... obviously babies born earlier can weigh less but guess if this baby boy is following in his sisters footsteps as far as timing goes he will be past "due date" and weigh more.

Saw this under current posts and decided to chime in... Ds1 was 7.6, dd was 8.11, and ds2 was 7.8 - they were all term and within a few days of their edd...

Re: How big do you think your newbie will be?

DD was 8lb, 11oz and about 2 days after my due date. DS was 10lb, 2oz and 3 days after due date.

I am expecting an 8-10lb baby. Hopefully closer to the 8lb mark.

Re: How big do you think your newbie will be?

DD 1 born at 37 weeks 6lbs. 2 oz.

DD 2 born at 38 weeks 6lbs. 7 oz.

DS 1 born at 35 weeks 6lbs. 12 oz.

Since they are progressively getting bigger I am going with this one being about 7lbs.

DS was 7 lbs 5 oz and was born at 40 w 3 d. Since this one is a girl, I'm predicting/hoping right at 7 lbs or just a tad under.

Re: How big do you think your newbie will be?

My triplets combined weighed about 3 lbs at birth (24 weeks). DS weighed 8 lbs 1 oz at birth (38 weeks). Even if you correct for age, DS was bigger then any one of his triplet siblings. It seems Nathaniel is following that trend. He was bigger then them (not yet but in 4 weeks he will be) at his 20 week ultrasound.

However lucky for me I don't have to guess my son's weight at birth. My peri is an expert at it. I might ask him at my next ultrasound (28 weeks) how big he thinks Nathaniel will be at birth. He told me when Max was 30w 6d gestation that he would be 8 lbs at birth at 38 weeks. He was off by an ounce. I think I can forgive him.
