Help me use up plain yogurt..

We don't like plain yogurt here, but I use it in a marinade for one of my chicken recipes. The store ONLY had 32oz containers of plain yogurt so that's what I have, and only used 1/2c for my marinade lol.

How else can I use it without just eating it?

So far I'm thinking:
Parfaits
Smoothies
Blend fruit into it and make it not plain? lol

But do you use yogurt in any appetizer or entree recipes?

I use it in baking recipes if I have it on hand. It makes muffins more tender.

Do you use it as a substitute for one ingredient?

It's really good if you use it as your "adhesive" for breaded chicken (instead of eggs or whatever else you put your chicken in before "shake n bake"ing it.

Mix jelly in it if you or your kids will eat fruit flavored.

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..

Cooking light online has a great recipe for banana bread that uses yogurt. I make it all the time.

Pioneer woman has a recipe for yogurt cream that is super yummy! Not perhaps the most healthful of things but you do serve it with fruit
Maybe make tzaziki with it, serve with grilled meat, hummus, etc?

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..

I substitute yoghurt for most milk products in next to any recipe. I make my own yoghurt.
