Why not Bummis wraps?

I've seen several ISO posts for covers that say "but no Bummis please" Is there something wrong with Bummis covers? I ask because I just bought one for pretty cheap, and the mama I got it from said "Thanks for buying this I've been trying to get rid of it for months!" Making me wonder why no one wanted it before.... ??
Thanks

I didn't care for the fit of any of them. One was really thick. One had gussets which don't work with my daughter's chunky thighs and one (the super lite) velcro rubbed her legs.

I did like the old school poofy pants though. The pull ons!

Re: Why not Bummis wraps?

I liked the Bummis super whisper wraps(BSWW) very much! We could fit such a lot under them. The elastic is gentle but it still gives a good leak-proof fit.The covers are generously cut and never left marks(DS was not very chubby but still!)
They wash well and I hardly saw discoloration on them!(Ofcourse,I changed DS the moment he pooped because he couldnt stand poop at all!).Some covers like the Econobums and Motherease ones get easily stained.Anyways, I liked them as much as I liked my flips!
My friend had BSSW which she used for 3 babies and loved them each time. They hold up very well!wonder why people dont like them.

I've only tried the Bummis super lite but I like it just fine.

I like then a lot, but I prefer to buy then new. I hang dry covers always and it bugs me to get a cover that head been through the dryer, especially Velcro.

I've only liked them on newborns and I liked them a lot. But the only kind I've tried on an older baby was Super Lite and it gave us bad wing droop. I should try a Brite or SWW. I bet I'd like them on toddlers too.

Re: Why not Bummis wraps?

I love the orginals on wee newborns and the BSWW one a bit bigger ans as a good workhorse cover.

The super lights are kind of eh and they leak if gout don't dry them in a dryer. My daughter is wearing them right now though. The whisper wraps are fantastic though. Haven't tried brights because I don't like any of the prints.
