picture heavy diapering with a "miminlist" stash

I am diapering an older toddler whom we will probably work at potty training in the next few months likely this summer if not sooner though we do hope for a third and finial baby..

My stash is 18 diaper safari inserts 12 diaper safari/diaper rite covers and around 3-4 dozen cloth wipes of some variety materials. I also have a diaper pail and liner and use a wipe warmer. We use disposables at night so I get between 2-3 days worth of changes in my stash.

First diaper typically goes on between 7-8am and I switch to disposables after 7pm since my DD tends to go to bed around 7:30-8pm

SO how it is all maintained washed and stored in color pictures.. In case some visuals might helps some...

First this is where the magic is stored

whats left after the end of day 2.. My rule is less than 6 diapers and I wash I have 4 left. Tonight we wash..

pail isn't stuffed but it is pretty full..

time to wash..
what I have bought around 2005 top loader Whirlpool non HE machines

supplies just first two used on diapers occasionally the bleach. The plastic container has the detergent a mexican powder detergent called Pinol which is in the green bag..

so we set the dials.. Largest water setting, heavy duty wash, heavy soiled were washing diapers afterall nothing is babied here extra rinse selected

add one scoop detergent

and one scoop baby Oxy

allow water to start mixing and disolving first... yes it suds a lot..

Add diapers.. and before anyone asks. No I don't do a prerinse unless I'm doing a bleach round. WE use flushable liners and I dunk swish anything that the liners don't catch if needed. This load had about 15 inserts 9 covers around 20 wipes the pail liner and changing pad cover..

while diapers are getting cleaned I find it is also a good excuse to clean the kid..

and while the diapers and the kid are getting washed... we start the wipe solution.. I use a Munchkins brand wipe warmer, Ive washed it out with soap and water and its ready for a new batch..

what is used.. Well mostly the burts bees is not.It is my go to barrier cream and the puppy has nothing to do with my cloth diapers...

I fill the container about 1/3 up with distilled water then add some of the coconut oil, thanks to AZweather my oil is currently in an almost melted stage so I just pour in a bit..

followed by about 10 squirts of the "soap" after it is plugged back in and I jsust allow it to heat and meld together while the diapers wash..

speaking of the diapers..
suds and wash water during the intial wash cycle

during first rinse (after some aggitation time) a bit hazy but no suds

during finial rinse after some aggitation time CRYSTAL clear

cycle takes an hour to finish...

time to dry.. I choose the longest dryer time as I hate semi dry stuff and dont care to air dry or line dry.

medium heat etc..

cycle takes about 90 minutes

all clean and dried and ready to put away.. and for anyone worried yes the baby is safely out in her PJs and is sound asleep by this time

the wipes get restocked I fold about 15 in half and add to the warmer that has the solution in it from earlier the wipes soak p the water so I now have the ready to go..

I pre assemble all 12 covers with an insert and flushable liner. extra inserts are stacked to the side. I restock some disposables for nighttime.. and store the extra wipes.. and their we have it a fresh clean stash ready and waiting..

Love it!!! Part of me wants a simple stash LOL

Do you like your pail? What do you use for a pail? I was going to use a hanging wetbag.

I love my pail, I got it from target it a size C and cost me about $10 I have a planetwise liner and it fits it perfectly easily holds up to about 2 dozen toddler sized diapers or around 3-4 dozen newborn.
