Hips hurting after babywearing

My body's gone through a lot of changes since having my first child almost 6 years ago. I had sciatica with my latest pregnancy, and now, I've noticed that if I wear my DD in my mei tai (BabyHawk) for more than an hour, my hips start to really hurt afterwards. No pain in the neck and shoulders, and I feel fine while wearing her, but afterwards my hips are so sore.

My hips feel all disjointed and when I sit down and get up, it's super painful. Even sitting cross legged causes lots of pain afterwards.

I wore DD maybe 4 hours yesterday as DH and I strolled the mall and browsed for furniture. I had on comfortable shoes and my feet didn't hurt...just my hips afterwards. DD is only like 12 lbs at the most. She's a tiny thing.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Are you wearing the MT high up, or closer to your hips? I know for me, when the carrier rests more on my hips, I get this awful constant pain in my hips. I don't get it with wraps, because I can put DS higher up. Now that he's 2, he's refusing wraps and only wants to be carried in a SSC. I guess it's a good thing he isn't worn too often, because he only fits into a toddler Kinderpack and the long body on that coupled with my lack of height, and my hips hurt whenever I wear him too long

Update: I needed an adjustment from the chiro. And yes, I do wear it right on my hips because that's where it's most comfortable. I am short-torsoed.

Re: Hips hurting after babywearing

i am also agree with my other friends as Chiropractic is a complementary and alternative medicine health care profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuron muscular skeletal system and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractors use hands-on spinal manipulation and other alternative treatments, the theory being that proper alignment of the body's musculature structure, particularly the spine, will enable the body to heal itself without surgery or medication. So i would like to recommend you to use chiropractor for your Hips hurting baby wearing.
