My 17 yo dd has always had horrible leg pains. She still does. She takes ibuprofen almost daily for them especially at night.

We recently went into a specialty running store and she found some compression socks for shin splints. It looks like a sleeve, no foot part. It from her ankle to her calf. She said those really help her legs and leg pain.

She has been to the doc because she would literally scream at night with pain especially if she did anything that involved increased leg activity. Nothing was found and it was determined to be growing pains.

Some new research has linked "growing pains" to low vit D levels. Just a thought.
