Anyone want to do a spring cleaning thread?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone would want to do a spring cleaning thread with me. Last year when I would have been spring cleaning I had a newbie to occupy my time, so this year I am extra motivated to get it done!

My goal is to tackle one room a week.

Today I did the pantry and kitchen...should have taken before pics, but here are the after pics

Thanks!!

Re: Anyone want to do a spring cleaning thread?

This looks so great, I am doing spring cleaning, at least trying to. At the top of my list is shampoo the carpets, detail the car (already did one), clean/declutter/organize my office/sewing room. There is a ton more but these are first.

Looks great - so clean and organized! Check out the minimalist forum - they've got lots of threads about decluttering.

Me me me!! I tend to go on cleaning/purging splurges and then I have to do other things (like watch my kids ) so I stop.

Things I'd like to get done...
-Remove all non-kitchen essentials from the kitchen and cabinets.
-Clear all closets and minimize/organize what's kept.
-Redo laundryroom setup. It's currently dds changing station but we don't cd anymore and don't change in there anymore. Could be better use of space.
-Scrub all the cabinet doors in the house (with three boys they're a little grimy)
-put new contact paper in the bathroom drawers and organize hall bathroom cabinet.
-Redo the filing cabinet. This is a top priority. It's become a catch all since we moved here two years ago and nothing is in a file or anything. It's a mess.
-we need to pull out two big plants in the front yard.
-Last, I would love to paint inside walls. But that's far fetched. Dh said its fine but I have to use extra money and not pull from savings. So it'll be slow going.

Long list huh Anyways, Id love to clean with you starting next week! All my kids are homegrown spring break, it's rainy out and they're stuck indoors. Cleaning isn't happening right now.

Re: Anyone want to do a spring cleaning thread?

Yay! I am excited for everyone to join me and for the accountability!

My goal for today is the dining room. The actual room shouldn't be too bad, but there is a closet that is...horrible!

I will try to remember to take pictures before and after

Do you all think we should move this to the minimalist area?

Have a great day everyone!

Yes, I am also next week. I even typed up and printed an agenda and check sheet for my spring cleaning! (Talk about Organizational freak)
I may have to tackle my kitchen today though. Since we're having guests for Easter. Cupboards, drawers, fridge....... Oh boy! I'd like to have an early rummage too!
This is only one of the 2 pages too!
