It could also have been a migraine from any number of stimuli (migraines don't always come with pain, and they can cause dizziness and blacking out). Is he exposed to a lot of chemicals, etc. at work? May the doctor have wisdom in addressing it tomorrow!
I was also thinking low blood pressure ( which I am prone to) and I have dizzy/ black out spells every once in awhile. Walmart has a free blood pressure machine! Check it out. Make sure he is drinking water. Tea hydrates fast too because its warm. Hope it's nothing serious!

Re: DH blacked out at work

i dont think its emergency related either and the blood work alone will be nearly a thousand. it sounds like he needs his sugar levels checked.
i and my daughter get dizzy and pass out if our blood sugar level gets too low. if he is dehydrated it can also happen, as well as some other things like low blood pressure which can also happen from low sugars, etc.
but i would ask about blood sugar. its an easy cheap test

you can go to any pharmacy to get bp done, he should be on some multi vitamin if he doesnt go to dr (i know how men can be and refuse to go) and ask a friend if they have a blood tester kit. takes one drop of blood.

Re: DH blacked out at work

This has happened to me a few times when I was working in a hot factory over the summer as a teen, for me it was blood sugar related (I had been skipping breakfast).

As an adult I had been blacking out with exertion (hockey, volleyball) -- it was a b12 deficiency.

I get that all the time. Usually from standing up too fast. The doctors did tests & nothing was wrong. I hope your DH is fine.

Re: DH blacked out at work

Is his stomach upset at all? My sister and my mom have this thing where when they get sick (mostly with stomach flu, but can really be anything) something constricts their vaso nerve? I know it is vaso something, and they pass out....a lot. I made my sister go get checked out once and the doctor did run tests but said that some people are just wired so that when they start to feel ill they pass out because of pressure on the vaso nerve thing.

Re: DH blacked out at work

I'm one that says he needs to go to the ER...thankfully he is going to the dr today.

My dad passed out a few times at work. One of them when he was driving a big semi truck.

Turns out he had a heart issue and needed emergency open heart surgery and a pacemaker placed in at 28 years old

My mom was a mess. They had 4 kids under the age of 6. They celebrated my little sister's 1st bday when he was in the ICU. Which we couldn't go see him because we were too young to go in to the ICU

Please make sure that he takes this seriously. You never know if it's a blood sugar/pressure thing or something more serious
