Do you have a carseat? What is it?

I am flummoxed. I need to get one, obviously, my youngest is 7, we got rid of all the baby stuff years ago.

I can't decide between a convertible (I have big babies), or an infant seat that goes to 30 pounds. I don't have to have the convenience of using the seat out of the car as I have an Ergo, Moby, Maya. I am ready to just buy a stinkin' carseat at random, I don't want to make a choice. I have no stores locally, so I either have to drive out of town or order online.

Tell what you got and why!

Chicco Key Fit- easy to install and adjust, baby seemed comfy in it, and has great ratings
Britax Marathon 70- install is easy, convenient to adjust, and has great ratings
Graco MyRide- has good ratings, is affordable

I bought a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 30-30 SIP for this baby. I choose it mostly because it snaps into my Peg stroller without an adapter, it has a higher weight limit (30 lbs), and the handle has an anti-rebound position.

We have a Graco Snugride bucket for the baby and MyRide65's for the convertible needs.

Re: Do you have a carseat? What is it?

we also bought a peg perego infant seat.

for us, it will attach to our mutsy stroller base, so that was part of why we bought it.

I liked the design, it looked safe to me. But there are so many options out there, it's a hard decision.

Re: Do you have a carseat? What is it?

I had a Graco safeseat (higher weight limit snugride, they call them now) for DS2 and DS3 - it was a really great infant seat, but lasted them until well over a year.

We didn't want to get another infant seat for Hiccup though (graco one expired dec12) because we aren't having more babies, so we instead got a Diono Radian. It's a convertible seat, but fits newborns well (something you do need to watch for, not all convertibles fit a newbie well/properly). It has high RF and FF weight limits, and Hiccup will fit it until he's big/old enough for a booster seat -

Re: Do you have a carseat? What is it?

We have the Britax Marathon 70 in Cowmooflage - http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=4306928

its designed to sit rear facing 5lbs to 30lbs and forward facing up to 70lbs

we love it and it's sooo soft and cute and SO easy to clean, AND I love how once installed in the car it doesn't budge it's super sturdy!

PS - if you have big babies go for a convertible one!!
