Stroller Junkies

I currently have a Britax stroller. My child doesn't like it and neither do I. Initially it worked fine, but due to an old injury I am relying less on my carriers and more on a stroller. We live in a city and are out frequently.

I am looking for something that is comfortable, drives smoothly, and isn't too heavy or bulky. I would like something light weight, but I don't want to forgo the nicer extras on a full sized stroller if that makes sense.

Tomorrow, I plan to stop by a local store to check out the Indie Bumbleride.

Any other recommendations?

Re: Stroller Junkies

They didn't have the Uppababy Cruz when I bought our stroller, but if they did, I would have got it in a heartbeat (we have the Vista, which is nice but a BEAST). It's compact, it turns on a dime, it has a reversible seat, and a massive basket underneath, the frame is carseat compatible, and it has a multi-position recline. I think it retails for $450.

I stupidly went with the Agile because it came in Kiwi and coordinated with her carseat!

Another to add to the list!

Re: Stroller Junkies

What is your ideal price point?

We have probably the 2nd cheapest stroller on the block, but I like it. My only complaint is that the basket is a little hard to access if the seat is reclined, but I love that it has a cup holder and zipper pouch for me, and it folds up quickly and is pretty light. It has a 50 pound weight limit, which is high for an umbrella.

I LOVE the Cruz. The simplicity, the accessible large basket. Ahhh. Dream stroller.

How about a baby jogger city mini? Is that too compact?

I second the Uppababy. My friend has one and it's a dream to push. I have the b-ready which is a similar size but not as easy to push. (however, if you are thinking about adding a baby, the Britax has better seat combos than the Uppababy.)

I recently bought a valco (double) tri mode. It's similar to an indieride; it is bulky, but easy to push and comfy for the kids.

We have a city mini. We dont use it all that often but that is due to US, not the stroller, lol.
I really love the folding mechanism and when it's pouring down rain it is a lifesaver. Very sturdy, smooth ride, seems pretty durable. The only things to consider - if u are short or tall the handle might feel awkward as its not adjustable - the citi deluxe or elite or whatever, has an adjustable handle. I am short (5-2) and find its not very comfortable for long strolls but fine for shorter ones. Cupholder you have to buy separately. I think it retails about 300?
