Re: Any signs of labor, or anything?

TMI, but I keep having loose stools a few times a day, like my body is just trying to keep me empty-ish.

That's so tricky to guess! My SIL had my inlaws fly out with her #2 because she thought for sure she was having the baby 2 weeks early. He ended up being close to 2 weeks late, and they had to leave a day or two after he was born. So hard to guess for babies! I hope it all works out perfectly for you!

yeah. my body has picked up on the emptying itself.

my sister asked me about that the other day and I was like 'well... it started doing that a couple weeks ago'.. so at first I was a little excited.. now I'm like 'whatever'.

Yeah, now I'm like, I don't want to have a sore bottom, or loose stool during labor...guess I would rather have something more normal that could just be scooped out of the tub if needs-be, lol.

Just curious why your OB thinks you will go in that specific time frame? My dr has been thinking I could have this baby anytime since ab 32 weeks. I'm 36 & 3 now and was 3 cm at last visit. Now granted, I have been on BR but I think if I was really gonna' go into labor, laying around probably wouldn't have stopped it. Hoping for the end of this coming week myself too though.

With DS1, they started telling me "any day now" on Dec 24, he was born via induction on Jan 12.

With DD, we didn't expect it. She was born 10 days b4 her due date, last check I had I was 2cm, 75% effaced and at -1 station.

Sorry if I'm being a downer, I just really don't think they can reliably give you an
exact time frame.

My symptoms mirror your almost exactly. Maybe we're both closer.

Nothing really going on here, other than being way too emotional over everything. Pelvic pressure from LO's head. I'm ready, but it would be nice if baby came sometime Monday or later. My midwife is off call til Monday morning, and I would prefer to have her around, rather than seeing the other midwife.

I don't know if I'm really having any labor signs. No dilation, etc but lots of pressure inside and a couple rare contractions here and there. I am 37 wks today and TBH I am so done being pregnant. Baby will come when he's ready but goodness I hope he's ready soon.

I don't really believe in all the hoopla to induce labor, they come when they are good and ready. All this reading about nipple stimulation, bouncing on a ball (what?! Lol) and whatnot is funny to read but never sounds like it actually works for anyone unless their body is already going into labor.

So here I sit and wait letting him bake but wishing he would hurry up.

I bounce on the ball all the time, but it's to relieve hip pain.

I agree, I think it's like kids and naps: some kids nap well, some don't, and I feel it doesn't make much of a difference what parents do to try and make it one way or the other; notwithstanding a medical induction (which still doesn't always work), babies come when they come, and I am not willing to expend energy trying to make it happen sooner because I am not a big believer in that making a difference.

But yes, I would love for it to be today.

I had preterm labor with DD at 30 weeks, was told to stop working, put on bed rest... and went to 39+4 before SROM.
I don't think they have a really great idea until you're actually in labor!

I thought about Monday the other day - it's easter monday, that would be fine... but it's also April Fools' Day, and that wouldn't be good! My parents would never believe it if I called on April 1st to tell them we had another baby!!!

I'm assuming the same for me - tons of pressure, but also quite a bit of cramping and contractions this week... but I'm assuming no cervical changes. Ah well.

Totally agree with that - if your body isn't ready, it won't matter what stuff you try (I mean, except AROM or pit or something like that), and if your body is ready it won't matter what you don't do because it'll happen anyways! So, I figure there's no point in trying much of anything. Just wait it out.

Bc this is my 4th and I have gone earlier and earlier each time. I am also35. Ds2 was a week and a half early and dd was 2 weeks early. He just said if he was a betting man he would put his money on the 4th-8th but baby will come when baby wants to. I was 3cm when dd water broke so I am thinking that would be a safe number.
