Is it time?

To stop froggying my DD's legs in my Babyhawk? She's 5 months old but still petite (under 15 lbs and 24" long). I'm only 5'1" but I'm thickest around my middle, so I worry a bit. When we froggy her legs, her head tends to loll back a bit when she falls asleep.

How do I know if it's time to stop froggying her legs?

Re: Is it time?

Legs out is fine (actually preferred) from birth. The only reason to froggy them in is if the baby is so tightly curled up that they are uncomfortable with legs out. By 5 months, your DD's hips should definitely be flexible enough for her legs to be out. If the panel is too wide for her (it should span from back of the knee to back of the knee) then you can scrunch it with a ribbon or something to narrow it down.
