Re: Any other suggestions??

Some doctors do compare on the growth charts that compare only formula fed babies. Keep that in mind as well. I would suggest nursing her more often to boost supply, but try to avoid formula if at all possible.

Well we went back to the dr yesterday for a weight recheck and she has gained 4oz in the last 2 weeks. Dr said she is fine with her slow weight gain as long as she continues in her own curve an doesn't plateau again. She believes my DD is just going to be very petite

Re: Any other suggestions??

Have you upped the nursing sessions? She should be nursing 8 times per day at least at that age. You posted that she was only doing 5 so I hope you guys are doing more now. Congrats on the weight gain so far.

I am waking her to nurse at night and I am putting her to breast every 3 hours. Sometimes she will do a full nursing session and sometimes she just pacifies herself but at least I am being stimulated. Her Dr said every 3-4 hours in a normal eating regimen for a 4 month old and if she is sleeping thru the night leave her but I want to make sure she is getting the volume of milk she needs.
