Bedding for race car bed

We are getting my 3 year old a little tikes race car bed. Anyone done this? What do you get for comforter/top sheet?

It will be twin size... on a side note if you know a good place to get an all natural twin mattress I would be all ears

I would get a him a solid color to compliment it or maybe a black and white checkered like a race flag?

I'd just do a black solid colored comforter or a Lightning McQueen set.

I really wanted this for DS, but his crib became a full and we already had a full size mattress set in our guest room. DH said no.

Re: Bedding for race car bed

DS1 has a red twin sized car bed. It just has solid white sheets with a solid light green down comforter that matches his bedroom theme. The theme for his nursery was cars/boats/trucks/etc, not too babyish so it was easily fitting as he grew. There was also a matching toddler bedding set to his nursery theme, so he uses the pillowcase and throw set from that to help bring it all together. The rest of his furniture is solid white from ikea along with a little tikes lamp & toy box that match the bed.

started like this-

to toddler (this is the pillow & blanket)-

to preschooler/kindergartener (crib also became a full, but it was passed down to DS2)-

The toddler blanket is just barely tucked at the edges, thus why I searched for the light green comforter later (we live in hot humid TX, so sheets are plenty almost yr round).
to this with the light green down comforter-

The room is more grown up now with a white ikea computer desk with his PC where the toy box is, but he still loves his bed at age 8

yeah I was more thinking that you can't really drape a comforter over the race car His toddler comforter may fit okay, he doesn't currently have a top sheet but I'm sure that will be okay for a while yet.

I know I can get any fitted twin fitted sheet.

Maybe look into bunk bedding. They have fitted bottom corners for the top sheets and comforters.
