Cracking up, I kept my oldest stump (the only one that was chunky enough to save ) and he really thinks it's the coolest ever. The girls all pout about not having their cord stump to check out.

I have all their teeth shoved in my underwear drawer.

I totally would have kept it, LOL

I think I will keep them, probably in medicine bottles - cause that's a great idea.

My mom kept ours, and I remember thinking it was weird, but also feeling like it meant that she loved me a whole lot...

I wanted to keep the cord stumps, but DH almost fell over dead, and insisted I throw them all away.

This made me laugh because I pictured throwing it out in the yard like throwing the dog out into the yard. Run free little tooth!!

Ok. Seriously. Gross.

My mom kept all the teeth we lost growing up. I didn't know until after she died. I found them in labelled envelopes in her jewellery box. I felt a little disgusted, but it was a nice sentiment, I suppose... Apparently, she wanted to have them made into a glass paperweight. The trouble is, now I have my brother's and my baby teeth and have not brought myself to throw them out.

Thus far, I have held onto my kids. But with no real purpose. I should throw them away because I tend to get bogged down in sentiment.

I understand keeping the first tooth in a scrapbook or something but why keep the rest? If my parents had kept my teeth and given them to me I don't know what the heck I would have done with that! I can think of many other sentimental items to be cherished, but TEETH?!?! Yuck!

We intended to keep all the baby teeth, but we lost a bunch in one of our moves. The first one my daughter lost was super creepy looking too. It had been broken when she was two and she'd knocked it pretty bad when face-planting a couple times when she was 4. The root had grown out on it and it was this super-creepy long tooth that only a quarter had been above the surface of her gums. It always creeped me out. She lost it early when she was almost 5 and it was a long while before any others fell out. She was missing that tooth for two years!

So, the creepy tooth (the only one that truly would have been cool to keep) went missing with a few others and I got to thinking just how manh teeth we'd end up with. With four kids and possibly at least one more, that would be a lot of teeth to save.

For a while I felt bad, but we didn't have anything to do with the teeth. We tried keeping their first cut of hair but those got lost in a move too. Then my son swallowed his second lost tooth, and that sealed it. I don't feel too bad about it now.
