No, I'm in Richmond, but a quick google search found tales of VBACs at Depaul Medical Center in Norfolk. I don't know if they have a vba2c policy or anything but worth checking out.

Good luck!

Re: Anyone have vbac in virginia beach, va?

I am a birth doula and I have a client who is due any day now who is hoping for a VBA2C. She switched from Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville to UVA hospital. The docs at UVA have been mostly supportive, but the last one she saw wanted to schedule a repeat csection if she didn't go into labor before her due date, which was annoying, but unlikely imo. She has told them that she won't be having a repeat csection on her DD if nothing happens before then, though.
I have heard really good things about VCU in Richmond, also August Family Healthcare near Staunton, which has a very high VBAC rate. Virginia is a big state, so I don't know where you are looking?

Thank you for the information. I found a teaching practice that will allow me to vbac. The doctor admitted he could not force me to have a third c section or to induce if went past my due date October 1st. i plan to give my body an extra week to go into labor naturally before i consider being induced, as this did not go well with my first. After contacting close to 30 practices and visiting 5 possible vbac supportive obgyns just to find out they wanted to schedule a third csection. I will stick with this practice.

I am in Chesapeake comparing Navy and Civilian doctors. What hospital/doctor are you using? I am considering going standard to have a civilian doctor. My first was a c-section, second was successful vbac and hoping for another vbac.

Maternal Fetal Medicine at Norfolk General is your only hope. I'm in the same boat (although planning a HBA2C).

Who did you contact?
